Susan Sarandon: “We would be at war” if Hillary Clinton was president

Hated by the left for her anti-Clinton beliefs, actress Susan Sarandon, 71, called the former presidential candidate “dangerous” and commented that if she had won, we would be “at war”.

“I’m not attacked from the right at all,” Sarandon told The Guardian in an interview published on Sunday. Instead, it’s her leftist pals in Hollywood who accuse her of not checking her white privilege, of throwing away her vote on a third-party candidate (the independent Jill Stein) during the US presidential election, and of recklessly espousing a political cause that let Trump in through the backdoor,” according to the report.
Asked if she has said that Clinton is more dangerous than Trump, Sarandon replied, “Not exactly, but I don’t mind that quote. I did think she was very, very dangerous. We would still be fracking, we would be at war [if she was president]. It wouldn’t be much smoother. Look what happened under Obama that we didn’t notice.”
Sarandon went on to note that a Clinton presidency would have taken up where Obama left off. “She would’ve done it the way Obama did it, which was sneakily,” said the actress, noting that Obama “deported more people than have been deported now. ”

Regarding feminism, Sarandon said she thinks that although it was often referred to, the concept has changed after the last election. “It’s come back, and it’s gotten warped, especially with the election, where if you’re a woman you have to support Hillary Clinton.”
