CNN Host Jake Tapper: ‘Our Network Is Honest And Ethical, Trump Hates Us Because We Deliver Facts And…’


Recently on CNN’s “The Lead” host Jake Tapper attacked President Donald Trump for his posts on Twitter about CNN.

Tapper stated, “That is false. The amazing journalists at CNN International bring the truth to the world. They’re carrying out important, rare and often dangerous work. They have been for decades.”
Tapper proceeded with, “Now, that I’m I am sharing these facts with you, facts the president does not care for might explain why he seeks to discredit CNN and all media organizations who report on him without fear or favor, “The Washington Post,” “the New York Times.”
“The president does not care for us reporting these facts and seems that he does not want you to believe these facts.”
“The president said he wanted to give an award based on which network is the most, quote, dishonest, corrupt, and/or distorted, but his problems with journalism seem to be rooted in the exact opposite.”
“He hates that which is honest and ethical and precise. Ask yourself, why might that be.”

Donald Trump is languishing in the polls as he approaches the 100-day mark in the White House, but a new survey released Thursday shows the president’s voters are still firmly in his corner. The overwhelming majority of Trump voters surveyed by the University of Virginia Center of Politics, 93 percent, approve of the job Trump is doing as president. The publishers involved in the auction for “the most hotly anticipated publishing deal of the year” include Penguin Random House, which published Obama’s previous three books, and HarperCollins, which ironically is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News. Simon & Schuster, which is owned by CBS, and Macmillan, are also in the mix. As the FT points out, a win by HarperCollins would bring the Obamas into the same publishing house as Bill O’Reilly, the author and Fox News Channel presenter who has been one of the former president’s fiercest critics. For now, Penguin Random House is reportedly leading the pack for the publishing deal with a decision on the winning bid expected imminently.
