POLL: WOULD YOU SUPPORT TRUMP CLOSING MOSQUES WITH TERRORIST TIES?

Experts on Islamic terrorism are calling the estimated 2,500 to 3,100 mosques in America “ticking time bombs.”
Every state now has at least one. California and New York lead the way, each with more than 500 mosques, followed by Texas with just over 300.
As the number of mosques increase, so do acts of Islamic terror in the U.S.
FBI Director James Comey told Congress recently that his agency is stretched to the limit trying to keep up with nearly 1,000 active ISIS investigations in all 50 states, and that does not include probes tied to al-Qaida, al-Shabab or other Islamic groups.
Of the thousands of mosques in America, nearly 80 percent of them have been opened since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said Monday that in the wake of the Paris terror attacks the U.S. should conduct surveillance of mosques and consider closing the Muslim houses of worship.
“I would hate to do it, but it’s something that you’re going to have to strongly consider because some of the ideas and some of the hatred — the absolute hatred — is coming from these areas,” Trump said to MSNBC.
The billionaire businessman made the remarks in an interview on the cable network’s “Morning Joe” show in which he was asked what his strategy would be in dealing with ISIS after the Friday attacks that killed 129, injured hundreds and ripped the heart out of France’s City of Light.
Trump responded that he would’ve bombed terror camps prior to the attack, that he would cut off terrorist money sources and possibly send in troops but only in conjunction with other countries.
However, when it came to the homeland, he said mosques were key.
“You’re going to have watch and study the mosques because a lot of talk is going on at the mosques,” Trump said.
Show co-host Mika Brzezinski then asked if Trump thought that closing down places of worship would create a backlash and only incite more hatred.
“There’s already hatred,” Trump said. “The hatred is incredible; it’s embedded. It’s embedded. The hatred is beyond belief. The hatred is greater than anybody understands. And it’s already there. It’s not like, what, you think that they think we’re great people? It’s already there. It’s a very, very sad situation. And I know so many people, Muslims, who are such unbelievably great people, and they are being so badly tarnished by what’s happening now. It’s a shame.”
This is not the first time that Trump has floated the idea of closing mosques. In October, the candidate also said he would consider it.
“It depends, if the mosque is, you know, loaded for bear, I don’t know. You’re going to have to certainly look at it,” he said.
“Only Trump has common sense to say EXACTLY what majority of Americans are thinking,” said one man on Twitter as reaction to the idea flooded social media.
Others who supported Trump left comments on the show’s website.
@TestoneDavid: “Trump is the only choice for president – the rest are completely feckless and will do nothing. Better vote for trump if you want to be safe!”
Lamont Cranston: “Trump is right. He would do a better job dealing with Isis than the others. Some of Trumps policies are sound and correct.”
jerry60: “Trump is right, liberals hate people, love “rights.”
Jeff Jones: ” Kill em’ all. . . ”
